Supermud Pottery Studio was started over 30 years ago as a working studio and gallery, and has been in its current sunny second story location on the Upper West Side since 1997.

We offer classes in hand building, wheel throwing and glazing to adults and children of all skill levels. Classes consist of no more than 8 students to allow for individual attention from our highly skilled teaching staff. The relaxed ambiance of the studio encourages sharing of ideas and fosters creativity. In addition to adult classes, we offer children classes, birthday parties and more.

Supermud Pottery Studio rents studio space, 7 day access in a great community of potters.

Supermud’s gallery showcases pottery created by nationally recognized local ceramic artists, our teaching staff and students. Works include utilitarian and decorative items such as mugs, platters, bowls, pitchers, vases, teapots and sculptures.
